Let’s face it. College is insanely expensive. Even if you’re lucky enough to have the money, there’s no guarantee you’re going to get a job once you graduate.
Scholarships help defray the cost of going to college. In some cases you might be able to attend school absolutely free. The problem is, how do you find a scholarship if you’re not a football star, computer geek, or gifted bilingualist?
There are many types of scholarships available. Finding them is the easy part. The difficult task is locating a scholarship for which you’re qualified. Finding a full-ride scholarship to a poetry program does no good if you’ve never written a poem in your life. There’s no sense applying for a full scholarship to the University of Alaska if you want to attend college in Florida!
